St00rm investigates dynamic systems and the forces that continually reorganise across ecological, technological, political and social scales. The project begins from the idea that what we experience as stability may simply be change unfolding at a rhythm we have forgotten how to perceive.
Working with sound, moving image, environmental data and generative systems, Storm looks at how energy and relationships move across different scales, creating processes of disruption, transformation and rebalancing.
At the centre of the project is a developing digital holding: a shared space where sounds, images, experiences and interpretations of storms can accumulate across different places and cultures. Through international collaboration and contributions from artistic, scientific and cultural perspectives, it will become a collective enquiry into what a storm can mean and how we live with continual change.
Through these encounters, the project asks how we might become more attentive to changing relationships and recognise our own participation within systems that are always becoming.
